Make sure you can download it by trusting the file. The action may vary depending on the browser.
Run the file by clicking on it or by opening it through your downloads folder.
When warnings appear, you can click on 'OK' or 'Continue.'
A window will appear for the installation, click on "next" to proceed.
Accept the terms and click next.
Click on "Install" and then on "Complete".
You can now proceed to "Configuration."
Open the VPN portal.

Wait until the download is complete, and then open it (the exact procedure may vary slightly depending on the browser).
Open the downloaded file and select whether you have a Mac with an Intel processor or an Apple Silicon chip.
If you don't know which one you have, go to Apple > About This Mac and check which chip you have. If the chip's name starts with "Apple," then you have an Apple Silicon System-on-a-Chip.
Click on 'Continue'.
Read the license terms. Then click 'Continue'.
Click 'Agree' to accept the license terms.
Click on 'Install' to continue.
Enter your device password, if set, and click 'Install Software'.
Wait until the installation process is complete.
Click 'Close' to end the installation process.
If your device requests it, click 'Move to Trash' to clean up the installation file.
In Applications, OpenVPN Connect is now ready for use.
At this time, it is not possible to use Google Chrome OS/Chromebooks in combination with the portal.
